Un- (prefix) not; It's used to give opposite and negative meanings to adjectives, adverbs and nouns in English.
When you're feeling unloved, untalented, unlovable, unsure of the future, unworthy, the hardships in life really show brighter than the blessings.
un·a·bashed Unabashed- not embarrassed, disconcerted, or ashamed.
Here are some ways to help you love yourself harder
Make a list of things you love about yourself and physical traits that you don't notice in many others
Write down your accomplishments, goals, and favorite things about yourself.
You may not have the best science grades but look at your English grades! You're doing spectacular and your teacher loves you. If you're struggling with your grades, be sure to talk to your teacher about extra credit, a tutor, and work on your mental health. Your mental health can be a factor in your school life, so put it first! If you're very busy after school working or caring for others, try doing your homework in class and finding new ways to study or remember important information.
What are some things you love about yourself? I like to check out this website
Compliment yourself, hug yourself, treat yourself with respect
Don't beat yourself up for mistakes. Learn from your past and keep pushing forward.
When you feel unloved remember that God loves you and will always love you. He created you for a reason and you're still here because He's not done.
No one is perfect
Keep in mind that everyone is struggling, has struggled or will struggle. We all go through the dark before a light appears. Be the light in someone's dark day! (Share the love.)
Don't push yourself too hard
Don't rush love, sex, or relationships
Focus on the love God, friends, pets, and family give you.
Some people confuse attention, attraction, or lust for love
Learn about the signs of lust and don't get too attached to people.
Work on your insecurities before looking for love
Don't settle for someone that's not right for you out of fear of loneliness
Finding your purpose
Do you love helping others even when you're going through pain yourself? You can use this to improve yourself and other's life. Jobs in psychology, child care, health care, humanitarian careers may be right for you. Do some research and see if it is a good fit! Believe in yourself always. Failure does not define your skills or talent.
Get to know yourself
Try new things and see if they're right for you. Research, learn, try, and keep going. Practice skills that will help with the career you want to pursue and life skills.
Take a break and slow down
Use other stories for inspiration not shame:
Don't ask yourself why you couldn't do something the way someone else did. Everyone is different and every story is different for a reason. Everything isn't right for everyone and not every success starts or ends the same way.
Make backup plans
Put yourself first
Practice your hobbies
Do you also love to write? Try writing challenges (ex: write one paragraph a day or write 7 short stories, one a day for 2 weeks straight) read often, and research writing jobs. Hopefully, you can turn your hobby to a side job or even a career!
Remember that haters don't like who they are and they put their insecurities on you.
Your money isn't your life's value
Your appearance isn't the most important thing about you
Body dysmorphia, eating disorders, and other issues cause us to feel certain ways about the skin we're in. Your illness isn't who you are. You are HUMAN. Prioritize your health over how you and others view how you look. Work out and eat healthy because you care about the condition of your body not to impress others or abstain by trends.
Do it for you/ Be yourself
That stylish outfit, the beautiful makeup, the cute hairdo is all for you boo!
Become more independent. Learn to cook simple meals, clean up after yourself, don't be afraid to ask for help, love yourself and don't expect too much from anyone. Asking for help or failing does not make you weak nor worthless. Slow progress is still progress.
It's okay to be afraid or unsure of the future
No one has everything together no matter how perfect their life may seem. A lot of social media lifestyles is just a facade of fantasy life.
Feeling and being different from others is okay. We are all unique and beautiful.
Improve yourself to your own pace
Sometimes our bad habits make people we love or like turn from us. For example, someone may distant them self from someone that's overly attached or extremely jealous. Focus on your reactions and interactions you have in social situations.
You won't be happy every or all day and that's normal
Sometimes things can be going great but suddenly one bad thing can make our world seem to crumble, sending us over the edge. Tears, fast heartbeat, chest pain, nausea, trouble breathing.
