The following is just things that have been happening for far too long. Issues with the media and criminal justice system.
People in jail for crimes they didn't commit
the killings of innocent people, weaponless adults who had their hands up or who were reaching for id after being asked for it, kids, people who were helping the victims, those going through a mental crisis (and called the cops for help), and disabled people
portraying of black and brown people as criminals (Trayvon Martin for example for wearing a hoodie in the rain and a school suspension, Tamir Rice for having a TOY gun while grown people walk around with ask for a haircut etc) Native and Black people protesting a safer life and injured and even killed because of it, vs people protesting with guns for haircuts
releasing criminals and rapists while people serve life for cannabis charges or jail time for weed especially in a state where it's legal
longer prison sentences for darker skinned people
women and men in jail after using self defense against their attacker/abuser/ rapist while Kyle runs free after what he did
prisoners getting raped and abused by guards, cops abusing their power
actual good cops being killed, demoted and fired (example: Cariole Horne, Joe crystal, Laura Schook)
rape kits going "missing"
prison guards working with bad guys for money
Affluenza "too rich" to serve time or know right from wrong
lack of media coverage for people of color that are missing
criminal cops just being moved to a different department
school shooter set free on bail/ money mattering more than life
the sad reality of homeless people forcing themselves to go to jail to have a safer place to stay and food// how homeless people are treated by police is despicable (ex: anti homeless designs)
The justice system favors the rich and their love of money over justice is the root of all evil.
